Pros
You get hands-on experience right away. I was able to shadow network reporters and even interview sources. A lot of reponsibilities were given right away that helped me grow and learn more about what it take work in a network newsroom.
Cons
A lot of cattiness between coworkers. I felt like every corner I went, people were gossiping and downplaying people's accomplishments. Some of the talent would also give us all their grunt work and take the credit.
