Pros

Very nice people Some of them genuinely care about their work and how it effects others Having a paycheck

Cons

Poor communication Lack of transparency No sense of urgency until its too late to matter Homogeneous group of culturally vanilla people who blame outwardly and don't think to reflect on their own actions. Was hired after three rounds of interviews, left one job and turned down another. Was told I was offered more than the salary budgeted for the role, that they wanted to invest in me because I'd be a great addition to their team, then set a start date almost a month out from my hire date. That was the first odd thing. Then I was told I would be the first one to go through this new training which they changed from being one on one to mostly self-directed; though they hired me knowing I had many things to learn and that it was my first job using these skills, fine. Was told that training was the time to learn from mistakes and review. Halfway through a three-month training period I'm let go. Stated reasons essentially being making mistakes during training, and not progressing through it at the rate they needed me to, to be ready for their 'busy season'; even though I was following a daily schedule given by my manager and completing tasks within the time stated. So apparently they didn't mean anything they said. The other thing that stood out as incompetent management, is why not start me right away if you need me to be trained by a certain point? 'Do the right thing right, the first time' not even close.

Dear Former NAVEX GLobal Team Member, I have reviewed each word that you've shared and appreciate your willingness to say what you feel we need to hear. Without knowing all of the circumstances surrounding your situation it is difficult for me to respond in a meaningful manner, but I can share that I am very sorry to hear your experience was far different than what most of our new hires experience. We will look at our processes and ensure we are taking the steps necessary to minimize any chance of someone encountering similar experiences as you did. Thanks again for your input. Best, Cindy Raz VP, HR & OD

Pros

Team Culture Flexible Schedule (hybrid model) Entry level pay is great

Cons

The position that was presented during the hiring process was not the position that was ultimately delivered. Employees have very little influence over organizational decisions; the prevailing message is to either accept ongoing changes or move on. The company sets exceptionally high performance expectations but does not appear to fully recognize how constant organizational changes, limited job security, frequent separations and internal restructuring, and unmet commitments can directly impact employees' ability to succeed. These factors create significant obstacles to achieving the standards the company expects.
