Pros

Good pay. A reasonable amount of autonomy with getting the job done.

Cons

Didn't really have the runway to slowly build a gradual portfolio and player base, so heavy monetisation on products lead to a toxic player base and demoralised workforce. Seems to think AI will fix all of their problems

Pros

Amazing people, complex and challenging tasks, interesting domain, great cross-department communications, a lot of people to learn from, Good ratio between freedom and support. Ability to grow in tech department. Tech management use meritocracy and supports bottom-to-top initiatives.

Cons

You need to be professional, experienced into self-management, proactive and resilient to hard times. Gaming and crypto were hit hard in the last years. Company had multiple focuses previously that led to overspending and layoffs. But learned from mistakes and now coming lean and mean.

Pros

Had fraternity culture before the need to "right size" and deliver.

Cons

The Interim CFO is an individual who lacks integrity. Since having to step up to her predecessor’s role, her team quickly disintegrated due to her mismanagement. This manifested in forms of toxic work environments by pitting team members against each other, retaliating towards individuals she disliked, and trying to force multiple subordinates into roles they did not want. And what’s worse is she cannot take accountability for handling situations dishonestly and instead uses the uncertainty of the tech industry as an excuse for being deceptive and manipulative. The concerning matter is leadership fails to see the damage she has done and that having an unskilled, insecure representative is a bad look for senior management.
