Pros
Okay so you know how you don't really appreciate a good thing until you have experienced the bad? Well I came from a very toxic environment. Half of my old colleagues are counting down until they can leave my old company. Well, everything I so desperately craved from my workplace is fulfilled here (and then some!). I feel supported by my coach (manager), everyone is so nice and quick to help out, employees are trusted to get their work done while still feeling supported, we have an office dog, dress is casual (unless you have an important client meeting), there are constant snacks available, bagel tuesdays, unlimited pto, daily check-ins with the team to keep people accountable and offer any help or advice, and everyone emphasizes shouting out colleagues that embody Myriad's core values. Plus, the company is located in a beautiful area of the city between Union Square and Chelsea. The leadership is also very approachable. The CEO was out for my first couple of days at work and when he returned he made a point to come visit me at my desk, introduce himself, and welcome me to the team.
