Pros

Professional and helpful co-workers/supervisors. Easy place to develop machinery or hand-held tool skills. Keeps you physically fit.

Cons

- Management is unprofessional with handling tense situations and takes his emotions out on employees (Demotivation, unnecessary stress, less likely to speak to management about serious issues due to mishandling). - Fixed rates, no competition. Someone who has been at the company for 20+ years is currently paid the same wage as a new starter. - No benefits or incentives to motivate workers. - Dead end job with no chance to climb through company ranks. - Company cares more about production, than the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees. - Management lie, there's no trust. JWQ has camera's within the site used to spy on individuals. You will be told the cameras are for Health and Safety. But in the 3 years of working here, there were more people pulled out for something other than health and safety. (The boss also enjoys to spy on people through the camera's even if he is enjoying his holiday day off at home, for health and safety purposes of course). - You will be disciplined if you decide to text instead of calling, if you will be off of work due to sickness or illness. Even though, the company contract that is signed by employees, does not state that you HAVE to call in. Regardless, unless you call, they'll slap you with a failure to notify of absence to management. - No freedom of speech. Your word will be worthless at the company. No one can speak to the line manager due to fear of being angrily shouted at by a a manchild or belittled, or made to feel like you're 5. It's easier to just avoid confrontation or else you'll end up being shouted out over the smallest thing because someones lost their temper due to them not being able to handle the stress of their position. If they're stressed, everybody else has to be on edge and stressed too. If you value your dignity and you want to go somewhere in life. Then a career at Johnson's Wellfield (Myer's Group) should be a last resort and nothing else. How employees are treated will leave you miserable. By far the worst company I have ever worked for.

Pros

Clocking out and going home, weekly pay

Cons

Bad management, stuck up and a never ending revolving door of staff as after a few months of putting up with the crap that’s thrown at them most people just decide to leave, the health and safety guy in particular is quite impressive in how unlikeable he is.
