Pros

Good teammates. A company for a good cause.

Cons

Myelin-H has the worst owners in the world of start ups. They don't know how to manage people. They don't know how to manage Time. They don't know how the technology ever works. The CEO "for a gaming company" never played a game in his whole life, not even his own company's games, yet he controls everything starting from the idea to the implementation. They do micromanagement, ask for daily reports and give daily tasks, no matter what's in the sprint or what you have planned. They won't till you that you have to work at least 10 hours per day and most of the times work on weekends to achieve what they planned and will always make you feel that you are behind what they expected. If you are working remotely they will not tell you about public holidays where everyone will be off but you will be working. If you are in the office they tell you that you have meal vouchers but they will deduct 30% of the vouchers value from your salary. They will tell you that you will have a fruit basket and snacks and dedicated monthly credit to buy what you want, but they will get you whatever they find, when they are there not always. They will tell you that you have gym subscription, but they will never discuss this unless you ask, and you will never have time because of the workload.

Pros

MyelinZ is a genuinely mission-driven company working on a hard, meaningful problem in brain and body health. As a software engineer, you get a lot of ownership and the chance to ship real product quickly, with exposure to a broad tech stack (mobile, backend, data, and sometimes ML/biometrics depending on the role). The team is ambitious, collaborative, and open to new ideas, and you learn a lot simply by being close to the product and users. If you enjoy early-stage environments, you’ll find the work energising and the pace exciting.

Cons

As with most early-stage startups, priorities can shift quickly, and some processes are still being built. Timelines can be aggressive, and you may need to context-switch across tasks. Workload is very intense, so it's not ideal if you prefer a slower pace or very structured corporate processes.

Pros

I have been with the company for a little over two years at the point I am writing this review. During my time, I have worked on some of the most exciting tasks that often required a lot of creativity to get done. The number of things I learned has been unmatched by any other company that I worked on before. While it is indeed a lot of work and often there is a lot of stress, tasks here feel more like a problem I am curious to solve than annoying, repetitive work. Colleagues are also highly motivated, which creates an almost addictive atmosphere of getting things done together. - A lot of the most exciting tasks I have ever worked at - Fast access to new tools with almost no buerocracy - A lot of creativity (more than any other job I have worked at before) - Extreme commitment of the leadership - Exciting collaborations - Highly motivated and hardworking team

Cons

- A lot of work (although most of the time work is very exciting) and stress
