Pros

The office is pleasant and the snacks are good. Otherwise there are no benefits except for the workplace pension which gives the legal minimum pay in from the company.

Cons

One of the management team sits scribbling away and making notes on what time you come in and how long you take for lunch. Treat your staff like adults! The hours are long, 9.30am till 6.30pm and you get the legal minimum holidays. The 'management team' comprise Yes Men who do nothing but agree with the CEO. Most of them are inarticulate at best and contribute nothing to the organisation except for agreeing with the CEO. Latest management idea is to have an apology session where you can publicly apologise to your colleagues. Bizarre and not normal. Most employees are actively looking for jobs where they can have a work life balance and are treated as human beings. The staff turnover is very high.

Pros

The role itself was multifaceted and allowed me to pick up loads of new skills. Management are generally friendly, approachable and accommodating when you have issues or requests. The customer service/operations team are a great bunch. They are all extremely friendly and were always willing to provide assistance when the work required it (and top chat over pints when at team socials). Having worked there for over 7 years, I cultivated strong relationships with a fair few of my colleagues and hope to see them again! In spite of major structural changes which occurred whilst I worked there, it was always relayed to us that our jobs were not in danger, and this proved to be the case. There seemed to be a genuine effort to make sure no one was made redundant at any point. The company offers good benefits (comprehensive health insurance and equity in the form of stock appreciation rights).

Cons

Suggestions from the operations team tend to get side-lined.
