Pros

Effective first training on Zoom. Tutors can work remotely.

Cons

The actual location of this tutoring business in Plaza 47 G Block Phase 1, DHA, Lahore, Pakistan. It is in the same building that Bank Islami is located, but on the 2nd floor. They do not have a Google pin, any sign or notice outside indicating their location, and they tend to hide the location. If they are truthful, they don't need to hide the location and business details, that real companies can disclose to the public. Most of their tutors are from Pakistan. According to the contract, tutors of this company are compelled to lie to their students about their location if the students ask the location for example by saying that they travel a lot and are in the student's country in the first, introductory class and that the tutor is in the UK for future classes. The time on the computer also has to be set to the student's location time for the first class and then changed to UK time. Tutors are further asked to lie saying that tutors had most of their training sessions in the United Kingdom, even when the training sessions are conducted online on Zoom by local Pakistanis. According to their website: "We are a Global Online education platform and do not have any offices or physical presence in the UAE, nor do we hire teachers/tutors (as a full time or part time employee) from within the UAE." However, again the tutors are supposed to lie to students in the UAE in introductory session if the location is questioned, and the email addresses that their staff and tutors have are UAE email addresses ending with .ae. A number of their tutors are high school graduates or with zero experience tutoring, but their website says that their tutors have Master's degrees or higher and with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Students are charged $20 to $45 per hour according to the their website. However, their tutors are paid about Rs. 1000 per hour, and tutor's salaries are deducted if the tutors don't teach at least 18 hours per week. The system is rigged to deduct the maximum possible salary of the tutors for example if a certain number of hours are not completed per week, three month prior notice is not given before leaving the company (that also is if they approve it), and if tutors get absent. The contract can be terminated only after six months and if a tutor terminates it before the six month period the tutor is required to pay a compensation to the company that is equivalent to 60 hours of work! Leave is not granted easily either.

Pros

My experience in the HR department at MTS has been extremely positive. From day one, I felt welcomed by a team that values collaboration. We work closely with other departments, such as the admin and support teams, who are frequently praised by clients for their professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness .

Cons

However, be prepared for a fast-paced environment. The passion to deliver excellent results for students can sometimes translate into high expectations and tight timelines internally. This is not a "coasting" role; you need to be proactive and comfortable with a certain level of pressure that comes with a service-driven business. Overall, if you are driven by purpose and can thrive in a dynamic setting, the fulfillment of contributing to students' success makes it worthwhile.

Pros

Managers provide regular and constructive feedback on your work. Training is great and eventually you are handed more responsibilities. Overall a great place to develop your skills. Work is handled as a team, responsibilities are divided well and team members help each other out on a regular basis.

Cons

Work can get a little difficult to manage during peak season if you are not a multitasker. Dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously can lead to burnout but this only occurs during peak season
