Pros

- Exciting business opportunities in an ever-changing industry. Never a dull moment or boring project. - Entrepreneurial environment that encourages similar behaviour from all staff members. - Flexible working and very considerate of personal situations that may arise. - Company benefits include healthcare and life insurance. - Great team mentality and supportive staff members. - Eager to improve as a business and as an employer.

Cons

- Typical SME issues, small teams so lots of hats are needed, but the variety of work and freedom given to explore new opportunities helps outweigh that. - There was an issue with late payment during the Covid era where many businesses struggled. Thankfully, this was resolved and weathered the Covid storm surprisingly well all considering. - Young team, so lack of ability is sometimes evident as well as the understanding needed to work in a smaller, fast-paced, start-up style of businesses.

Pros

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've had a fantastic experience working at Music Gateway, and I genuinely look forward to seeing my colleagues every day. The company fosters a tight-knit, family-like environment where collaboration and camaraderie thrive. Pros: ✅ A Supportive Team Culture – The people here make all the difference. It’s a lively, happy working environment where colleagues feel like friends. I feel valued and heard, and my goals and needs are taken into account. ✅ Flexible & Hybrid Working – The flexibility to work remotely or in the office due to the nature of my role has been a major perk. It allows for better work-life balance and helps cut down on commuting costs. ✅ Management Support – The COO is incredibly supportive and genuinely cares about individual and team success. Ideas are always welcomed and encouraged, making it a great place for creativity to flourish. ✅ Encouraging Leadership – The CEO has always been supportive of my ideas and strategies while taking the time to train me in areas where I needed additional support. ✅ Career Growth Opportunities – There’s massive room for development, and employees are given the chance to expand their skill sets and take on new challenges. ✅ Fun & Relaxed Work Culture – From the dog-friendly office to relaxed dress codes and company networking nights, Music Gateway has a great balance between professionalism and enjoyment.

Cons

Cons: 🔹 Startup Challenges – Like many companies with a startup-style approach, we've faced our fair share of trials. However, the core team is resilient, and we always pull together with a positive attitude. 🔹 Salary vs. Perks – While the salary isn't at the top end of the scale, the work-from-home flexibility and strong team culture make up for a lot. The non-monetary benefits and support we receive are invaluable. 🔹 Office Space Needs Some Love – Agreed the office could use a bit of a refresh, but that's more down to the building owners than the company itself. Final Thoughts: Music Gateway is a fantastic place to work if you’re looking for a supportive, friendly, and dynamic environment where ideas are encouraged, and personal growth is prioritized. The team makes it special, and despite the occasional challenge, it remains a rewarding and fulfilling place to be.

Pros

The vast majority of the team are wonderful people - really friendly and a fun environment to work in.

Cons

The head management clearly have very little respect for employees, and were in many cases incompetent. Myself and a number of colleagues were hired via the Kickstart Scheme for 16-24 year olds on Universal Credit. The CEO and his circle clearly took advantage of the scheme to hire desperate young people at little to no cost. Despite being routinely pushed to meet unrealistic targets, it was known that the CEO had referred to some of us as 'lazy', and micromanaged our work. Our wages were consistently paid late, so those with rent and bills to cover were left stressed and adrift. On one such occasion, the CEO disappeared for two days without anyone able to contact him about the late wages. When he did eventually reply to our emails and phone calls, it was to repeatedly make excuses about funds being 'stuck overseas'. A month after I left Music Gateway, I was informed that the other Kickstarters had been let go, presumably because the company was cut off from the Kickstart scheme due to the CEO's dodgy practices. Also worth bearing in mind that we were only being paid £16k-18k during all this. As well as the fact that, according to gov.uk, the CEO has been responsible for five dissolved companies before Music Gateway. Middle management were clearly overworked, some of them working up to 3-4 extra hours a day on low pay.
