Senior Management is Old and out-of-touch; does not allow remote work for all employees; pay is disturbingly skewed towards management with minimal annual raises for the lower level staff; inflexible working hours; refuses to close during inclement weather, even during state of emergencies

Pros

In my 25 years of experience in business, I’ve never been this happy in any other organization. Murray Securus is employee-owned, and everyone has “skin in the game”, there is a culture of care for, not just the clients, but the employees as well. I truly enjoy coming to work. I feel challenged to be better, both in business and as a person. And the people I work with every day truly are - for their colleagues and their clients. I’m so proud to be a part of the Murray Securus team!

Cons

Haven’t really come up with any yet!

Pros

This is an ESOP company- over 50% owned by the employees. Professional development is promoted and often required. Many committees are available that are ran by employees. Benefits are great offering life, health, dental, vision, 401k, vacation time and many more benefits at no cost to the employee. There is an EAP, as well as a partnership with Legal Shield. Company events are planned by the employees through out the year that brings all offices together. The wellness program is very well developed and offers employees discounts on health insurance. A work-life balance is promoted. New positions and platforms have been added to further develop our innovations in sales and insurance.

Cons

Our main office is in Lancaster City and our second largest office is in Lancaster as well. Our four remaining offices are in Eastern PA and VA. This is a great aspects for reaching many clients but does limit our employee interactions with one another. It makes it difficult to meet and get to know employees at other offices.
