Pros
You get to use whatever resources you find useful, there is no set of mandated curriculum in place. Easy to follow system to process an overview of what you did for each tutorial session. Really nice students to work with who are motivated to learn.
Cons
Strange ways of doing business. In one instance, was told to prepare a lesson for a new pupil who was in grade 4 and they were in grade 5. I do not think that is something to mess up being that the families are paying a pretty penny for the monthly services. Also told that there are rules about raises and then randomly offered one shortly afterwards. At the end of the day, when they realize how skilled you are, they act insecure and do not want to arrange to ever have a face to face meeting when everyone works on Zoom anyway. I think they should realize if they need to keep someone on board, they really need to give them 4 -6 hours a week minimum because that comes out to a part-time job. Two and a half hours a week is barely cutting it.
