Pros

Some strong contributors on the product and engineering side, but overall impact is limited by lack of structure and alignment.

Cons

Management lacks transparency, commitments aren’t formalized, compensation is inconsistent. Differences between outsourced and in-house engineers can be significant, particularly in compensation and benefits. Transitions from outsourced to in-house roles are sometimes discussed but lack clear timelines or formal commitments, which can create uncertainty for those relying on that path. Performance recognition is not consistently reflected in compensation or role progression. Even with strong performance ratings, there may be limited alignment between evaluation outcomes and tangible adjustments (title, salary, or scope).

Pros

Work on the latest technologies, bleeding edge on cloud native, streaming and data engineering. Good focus on AI development

Cons

Chronically short-sighted leadership. Constantly changing priorities. Not focusing on high impact and revenue generating projects. Avoiding tech debt which is leading to burnout and a burden to maintain. Send out letters for bonuses but have not paid out for 6 months. Overall you cannot trust what you are told
