Pros

I thought there were a lot of pros when I went to work for this company but you realize over time that "the positive vibe" you felt fades quickly.

Cons

Those working there are all fairly new as this company goes through employees every couple of years. Most will not have a career with this company after two years....the "we're family" atmosphere will soon fade. It's as if once your purpose has been served to the benefit of the owner, you are done. This environment is toxic and the stress everyone feels is unspoken. The CEO appears to be so genuine to everyone, appears to be very giving of herself, but underneath it all is a fake person who talks about everyone behind their backs all the while preaching "transparency". If her clients knew what she says about them, they would refuse to do business with this company.

Pros

It was such an exciting time to be a part of this company and to watch their growth! I was very happy working for Dawn and her team and grew my skills tremendously while working here. I found another opportunity that was closer to my degree and decided to pursue that otherwise I would never had left. The best part about this company is their family like atmosphere. There are no cliques, it's extremely collaborative and if someone is not pulling their weight, the team will work to help them. It's a very healthy environment and much better than the one I left for...unfortunately. I still keep in touch with all the great people at MotivAction. I was surprised to read about a couple of unfavorable reviews on the company, I did not have this experience and many of the people working there have been there for years. I would think if it was that awful, they wouldn't have so many happy employees?

Cons

The traffics in Portland is a nightmare. So the negative is just trying to get to the Johns Landing area. But since there were 2 days of remote work, it did make it easier.

Pros

Everyone here cares about the person next to them. Upper level management truly cared about the growth of every employee. There's an excellent balance of work and play. The company is growing and can provide opportunities that are compatible with every employee's professional goals. Overall, employees here are taken care of.

Cons

The balance of work and play does not work for everyone. Every employee needs to lock in and be productive on remote days and during crunch time. Some people need a micromanager to be successful, and this is not a company that will provide that type of management. Also, during the team events it is important to relax and focus on connecting with the rest of the team.
