Pros
There's free coffee available in the cafe. Decent sick leave and vacation accumulation time, if you're ever able to use it. The recent renovations are beautiful, yet clinically inconvenient at times as staff input was discarded in favor of aesthetics.
Cons
Management is inconsistent and keeps employees in the dark. Communication is particularly challenging. There are various OSHA and state violations that are routinely overlooked. Any quality improvement, staff safety, or staff concerns are strongly discouraged from being voiced. Retaliation for bringing issues to light fosters a very unsafe work and patient care environment. Every department has locum workers, pay is minimal and staff turnover is constant. There is little work/life balance that is shown any concern for any employee outside of the highest management. The board of the hospital has no medical background and has no idea the extent of the mess.
