Pros
All the things that people have mentioned....ethical, smart, hard working people. The company's mission is one that you can be proud of...
Cons
While you can be proud of the company's mission, that doesn't mean Morningstar pays fairly compensates. I think they are on the low-end. This being said, the benefits are pretty good (until they cut a bunch of them) and this is why I think its a better place to work if you are just starting out. The benefits, like flexibility of schedule, are more important to younger people than to mid-level people looking to raise families in Chicago. The leadership at the top has made a lot of money on stock options, etc and this has left a gap of middle managers that are under-paid...and younger employees that are happy to have lots of flexibility in their schedule or getting school partly paid for.
