Pros
I was hired as an intern for Morningside's busy season. All of the full-time staff was involved in my training. They were knowledgeable and kind; each of them was willing to take a pause in their work to help me understand a concept. Everyone was respectful of one another, and they worked as a team to get what needed to be done accomplished by the end of the day. The company seems to have a very teamwork-centered philosophy. The collective age of the company was very young. Everyone I worked with seemed to be in their mid-to-late 20's. This made for a very friendly and relaxed, yet professional environment. It is obvious that the company takes great pride in their employees, and rewards them often for their hard work. Ultimately, I felt accomplished that I learned a great deal about the immigration process during my time with the company. I enjoyed that I was able to apply that knowledge to be a part of helping people gain opportunities to work in America.
Cons
The company has an annual busy season where working up to 15 hours a day, 80 days a week is necessary. It is exhausting, and it can be hard to keep the endurance up for the (give or take) two month period that the busy season lasts. On the other hand, it is a great bonding time for the team as a whole.
