Pros

Moog has excellent facilities, many tools and the provides the means to learn many new things and provides a very good compensation/benefit package.

Cons

Moog prides itself on its culture, so much so as to have training sessions on the "Moog Culture". This turns out to be a twisted way to control the non-management people especially in the Aircraft Group. This culture idea is used as a way to prevent people from questioning management and preventing any dissension or conflict. Pretty much bad news for a company that needs to be innovative and have very few product defects. The tools and pay/benefits were very good but the expectation of 50-60 hours of work every week of the year basically prevents any sort of sustainable family life. If your spouse doesn't agree with the hours needed, there will be problems. I witnessed many divorced people and many people that only have a career for their life goal. The Moog Culture actually states family values as one of its ingredients. How is this possible when you are always at work? This was once a great company but has lost its way.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
