Tricked into moving home to be made redundant - Software Analyst MooD International Employee Review

Pros

not a great deal. Some of the people were amazing to work with

Cons

Mood International from the get-go was a bad experience. Forced into moving home to get the job was probably the first bad sign. I was desperate for a role straight out of uni and their contracted recruiter pushed me into moving home to be close to the office, regardless of my ability to travel there. After moving address I was made redundant within 6 months. The company (HR mainly) handled this process like a child in a playground with gossip. Everyone knew about it before the people who were being made redundant could take action. We were made to interview for our roles again although this was going to be head to head with 2 people who had years of experience. What a joke.

Pros

Overview. As an SME that drives business approaches through innovative digital change, I found MooD to be an organisation that does the right things for the right reasons. Genuine digital leaders when it comes to deployable operational architecture. Specifics. Within the Defence Enterprise Team (The DET): - Enthusiastic, driven and focused on all levels from the tactical to the strategic. - Morally strong i.e. does not turn away from difficult tasks if the task is the right thing to do. - Genuinely motivated to improve Defence's digital agenda and make things better. - Understands the military psyche. - Great team which continues to develop its partnership with the Army, Navy and RAF. - Exceptionally well connected within both the Military and Industry. - They have a Defence portfolio that continues to increase in size, complexity and business value. - Invests in and empowers young graduates.

Cons

Specifics. Within the DET: - At times overly optimistic after senior stakeholder engagements. Mitigated by their determination to develop relationships which they do well over time. - The all encompassing nature of the work. Mitigated by a fantastic approach to remote working.
