It's a decent job for students - Head Cashier Modell's Sporting Goods Employee Review

management expects too much for what they pay their employees. This job is more for collecting paychecks. I can't see myself wanting to make a career out of this company. I feel bad for all of the managers at my store, none of them have a work\life balance and are miserable because of it. I know of one manager that was not approved overtime so he had to work 20 hours for free during the holidays. Now they've recently stopped the sales bonus for managers, so there isn't even incentive to do anything any more.
