Pros
- Gained extensive, hands-on knowledge on the entertainment industry and how the behind-the-scenes work. - Dealt directly with talent and learned how the casting/booking process goes. - Enjoyed a fast-paced but relaxed environment & fun, hard-working people to work with. - Saw first-hand what the hard working agents accomplish. During the length of my internship, I watched talent book jobs that I then saw on national commercials, billboards, and more! It was really exciting to be a part of the process and see everything come to fruition. The MMG Team really operates as one and they help each other to ensure their talent are happy and booking work as much as possible. They are on top of their work & make things happen.
Cons
I wouldn't say this is a "con", but working at MMG is definitely fast-paced and you need to be able to take direction, learn quickly and apply what you've learned. As an intern, you are responsible for a lot of the clerical work that is time consuming but essential to help the company operate smoothly. This is an unpaid internship position, but they are more than willing to offer school credit, recommendations for future employers and are open to discussing full-time employment opportunities if positions are available at the time.
