Pros

- Independence : The opportunity to pursue the type of work you do best without excessive oversight. You have a lot of say in how final products look, what you think 'the right thing' is and control over when the work should get done. - Flexibility : Schedule is quite flexible, with the opportunity to arrive and leave when you want, and as long as the work gets done, you are not beholden to any timeframe/vacation calendar. - Upward Mobility : There are a lot of leadership and management opportunities available. - Try It Culture : willingness to let employees try new things, and 'run with a project'.

Cons

- Lack of Support : as a small company, you will be expected to completely manage entire roles/ divisions alone. You are the expert, but you are also responsible. - Benefits are a work-in-progress : company 401k has not been established, and programs like short-term disability leave do not yet exist. I know moves are being made to set up these things, but it hasn't been done yet. - Startup : the company is still very much learning, growing, perfecting itself.

Pros

I had the opportunity to work with so many incredible people at ModelB! My experience changed the trajectory of my career and helped me grow as a developer. I worked on many fascinating technical problems and was able to explore and research the domain of advertising technology and web development. ModelB has a great culture. Everyone at ModelB is approachable and friendly. I always felt valued at ModelB and feel honored to have worked with some of the most dedicated and intelligent people in Washington, DC.

Cons

No cons! Working on important problems at a fast-moving startup can be challenging, but I always felt supported by the community at ModelB.
