Worst Experience in Roamware - Senior Software Engineer Mobileum Employee Review

This review is for the purpose of providing awarness to new joinees and suggestions to improve Roamware. Technology: MUCH MORE OUTDATED TECHNOLOGY. Before joining they tell that you are going to work on JAVA. But You can not improve your tech skills. You will NEVER work in JAVA/J2EE, You will always have to work on XML, scripts. Mostly junk work. The internal knowledge is not useful for outside competitive market. So no value for the time you spend with Roamware. Management does NOT respect your technical skills. There is a plan to move all java projects to XML base, So no scope for Java professionals there. It looks, Java projects were NOT developed by right JAVA professionals. So No JAVA conventions, standards, design flaws. If you are serious java developer, You can not even work. No opensource frameworks used. Domain: If you want to learn GSM probably you can be there for few months. not more than that. Career Growth: Never expect this. People in the management are there for years. Heavy politics, You should know to play well. Salary: Recently no hikes. But more junk work. Get some good hike and join. The variable pay is just for the sake. Work Life Balance: You should regularly stretch and work, But no appreciation from manager. Because their normal work life ends at late nights. But managers will leave soon. Last minute works, but expected to finish in time. Culture: I bed, If you are from a corporate, you will start looking out for a job in few months. As managers are there for years, they treat you like anything and ignore like anything. Your voice will never be heard on board for few years. Managers always dominate people. They order you to do tasks. No Polite approach of MGMT. Scoldings are very normal in public. No HR policy against vulgar, profane, etc.. So its casually used by mgmt people. Environment: Because of all above things, You yourself feel it as discouraging and sorrounded with negative energy. Facilities: Below average. Job Security: They dont care about employees. You should respect them. But you can not expect from them. Others: No clear communication on what happens. No KT/KS for new employees. Always you will work stressed and depressed.
