Pros

-Good pay for the area I guess, depending on experience. Still hard to survive on, even at the higher end -Accumulation of sick time per paycheck -Weekly Pay and Dental/Health/Vision benefits, they aren't too bad -Likely will work alone, if that is your thing its a pro -Experience and Certifications with Apple products -Likely will be sent out of state for training, might get to go to CA or NY -Have a few cool coworkers

Cons

-Never-ending expectations to produce more. If you hit your "goal" to make sure the owners are profitable, it will only increase or your job will be threatened. -You are hired as a tech, but end up in a store management position by yourself. It was like this for me for nearly 2 years and I was not aware this would happen. -Work alone in a cold medical office (subjective) -"Coworkers" are all in a chat room from different stores/states, a lot of the people you are supposed to go for for help, will belittle you and give you passive aggressive responses to simple questions -You are expected to charge every customer that comes through the door, no matter how simple the issue is. They say it is because they charge for "knowledge". Customer satisfaction is a lot less important than overall profit -No vacation time or holiday pay. You get sick time but can only be used for being sick, But then the two owners will tell you its ok sometimes. Then sometimes not. -You will likely be responsible for the entire store's success, if you have a coworker it might be nicer depending on their experience. -Expectations for some are not the same as others -30 minutes forced lunchbreak, barely enough time to get food let alone eat it -Owners live in CA, they make it clear pretty early on there are some laws they have to follow and others they don't since its in different states. They have no problem firing people, depending on who it is. -Have witnessed owners essentially "silent fire" a coworker. He was on one day a week for like the last year, and drives 1 1/2 hrs one way to get there. It seems to be so that he cant file unemployment and raise the insurance rates for the owners. -Owner will "travel" frequently to India, while you haven't had a vacation in years (unless you take unpaid time off, if approved) -You have to use time off to run errands for the store such as purchasing key copies and running deposits to the bank, unless you want to use your 30 min lunch to do this.

Pros

If you make the bosses money, and if you care about getting the job done right the first time, they'll leave you alone to keep that up. If you hustle and take pride in your work, the greatest reward is to be granted the agency to generally go about your business as you see fit.

Cons

Culture shock: Apple-Authorized Service Providers appear limited to modular repairs only. Disproportionate compensation: managers with years of industry experience may receive the same hourly rate as entry level technicians with no experience. Poor downstream communication: logistics shift capriciously, with little notice or input (if any). Poor risk management: operationally, embers would be ignored until fires broke out. Burnout: if you don't draw a line (professionally), you will be tasked beyond capacity.
