Pros

Working remotely, if that is your preference and a strong service department. Good benefit offering but this is leverage for poor compensation.

Cons

At one time this company seemed to have a strong vision, however, after 10 years in business they still operate like a start-up company and constantly try to reinvent themselves, acting in a, "we will do it better this time" mentality. This creates confusion and customer subscription cancellation. There is an overbalanced upper management structure that is very focused on micromanaging. Employees are pushed to work harder for a low compensation structure through a "Flex Friday" 4-day work week, but this is becoming non-existent with the never-ending demand for internal meetings and "training" requirements that force everyone to put in a full week to get things done without relative compensation. Way too many internal processes and redundant systems create several inefficiencies. I wish I would have never wasted my time here. Mobials need to get their ducks in a row.

Mobials Response

We're sorry to hear that this has been your experience at Mobials. Since you are a current employee (although we do not have Project Manager positions on our team), we encourage you to share this feedback with your manager or HR. We value your opinion and want to address your concerns. The words “be better” exist at the heart of our company culture. We operate with this mentality you mentioned because we aim to continually improve all facets of our business year after year. We are committed to making improvements to our products and services, enabling our team to grow, and better supporting our clients. We admit that we are not perfect. We make mistakes and make adjustments when needed. That said, we’re very transparent with our team when it comes to changes in our business. We ask for feedback regularly so that we can make improvements where necessary. Like you said, we’ve been in business for just over a decade and we were a startup not that long ago. We’ve grown a tremendous amount in a short period of time and are proud of how far we’ve come and how well the team has adapted - but we still have some work to do. To be clear, we don’t have a 4-day work week at Mobials. We have a Modified Work Week (MWW) program where employees can take some time off on Fridays so long as they are still available, professional development is on track and pressing work is completed (i.e., urgent client inquiries, etc). Over the last year or so, we collected employee feedback on this program and we came to the understanding that it wasn’t working as well as we hoped. Some were enjoying the benefit more than others. So, we rolled out a new Half Days Fridays (HDF) program to address the feedback that came from our team. We feel the benefits of the HDF program, which will run all year, will outweigh those of the MWW. Also, the program does not impact employee pay whatsoever. Employee pay is still based on a 5-day work week.

Pros

They take wellness very seriously; innovating to push the company ahead is always the mindset; creativity, openness and transparency are expected and encouraged. I’ve never worked anywhere like it.

Cons

Pay could be a bit higher but the flex time, benefits and four day work week balance that out.

Pros

Great people, flexible work environment, growing company, company transparency, interesting/new things happening, Fridays off work all summer!

Cons

Some growing pains, some managers are better than others, some decisions made aren't communicated. Onboarding and training need improvement.
