The product and engineering teams are talented and motivated, and there are opportunities to work on technically complex projects. Fast-paced startup environment where employees can gain exposure to multiple functions. Some colleagues were supportive and collaborative.
Cons
In my experience, the legal function operated under very tight managerial control, which made it difficult to exercise independent judgment or develop strategically. Communication within leadership could at times feel dismissive or confrontational, which created an uncomfortable work environment. The management style I encountered felt highly micromanaged, with limited autonomy. Feedback and direction were sometimes delivered in ways that felt disrespectful or discouraging, which negatively affected morale. Overall culture within the team did not consistently foster psychological safety or open dialogue.
