Pros

The people who work at MissionWired are passionate about making the world a better place. It feels amazing to work somewhere that has values that align not only with the clients but also with my own. The result is a feeling of being a part of a holistic cause that is about more than just getting a paycheck. The company also really puts their money where their mouth is in terms of internal values, too, not just championing progressive causes externally, but also valuing workers with policies and resources accordingly.

Cons

The work can be emotionally taxing because we deal with causes that are critically important to the current political climate. We feel the highs and lows of the political cycle, which means we are emotionally invested in the good and bad outcomes of politics. This also means we tend to be busier during critical election periods. This also can be inspiring and so worthwhile when it feels like we've made an impact, but it is a reality of the work.

Pros

MissionWired fosters a positive work culture where I feel comfortable suggesting process improvements. I feel recognized for my contributions, with a weekly staff meeting and Kudos as reinforcements of positive feedback. Management ensures that employees keep DEI at top of mind, not only in awareness but also in practice with companywide trainings. Work/life balance can be tricky at times, however with support of co-workers and management it works. Compensation and Benefits are more than fair, CareFirst BlueCross options have 0 deductible options that are priced fairly. And, best of all, I get to help fundraise for some amazing nonprofits and political clients that both my core beliefs and morals are aligned with.

Cons

Since the vast majority of employees work remotely it can be hard to collaborate effectively at times, you have to put in the effort to make it work. However, if you are local there is a wonderful work space in DC where you can work (with dual monitors) anytime you'd like.

Pros

Amazing people, tries its best to be really inclusive, serves some great causes and really makes a positive impact on the world.

Cons

Pay is a bit low for some sectors of employees. Work can be stressful due to the nature of the sector. Some slightly concerning leadership churn.
