Pros

All the people are really easy to work with, always supportive, and willing to listen to new ideas and suggestions. Founders emphasize a lot on culture and community and try their best to create a sense of belonging.

Cons

It is a start-up so definitely not as stable as big companies but the leaders are really transparent about any potential changes and do not shine away from sharing the challenges they are facing.

Pros

Supportive team that encourages brainstorming and open communication when challenges arise. Well-organized curriculum and comprehensive documentation to support job tasks

Cons

Not necessarily a con but the first program can feel a bit intimidating as you’re learning the ropes, but once you get familiar with how everything works, it becomes much easier to manage. Hours may vary depending on program enrollment

Pros

Senior leadership does a tremendous job ensuring that the values of the organization are imbued and exercised in every part of the organization and its activities: how they treat employees, how decisions are made, how they communicate (with employees and clients), how they treat clients (organizations/partners) and end-users (individuals who participate in programs). In fact, it's hard to write this using the pronoun "they." It's a "we." It's a true team, where contributions are valued, diversity (of demographics and thought) is sought out, questions are welcomed, and support is offered freely and frequently. The training materials and process are thorough, the work is meaningful and engaging, and the support is consistent and easily accessible.

Cons

Not really a con, but since this role is part-time, remote contract work, in order to succeed in this role, you must excel at working independently, managing your time, and balancing the multiple priorities of your life.
