Pros

The office is nice and in a great location in Ballard.

Cons

- Worst professional experience I've had in my ten year career - Consistent turnover, two years at the company is the longest tenure in the office - Environment is hostile, every employee is miserable and looking to leave - Management frequently encourages employees by saying 'they hired a company full of over achievers' and that everyone has 'grit' - to manipulate them - I learned absolutely nothing, I think my brain atrophied - The day-to-day inefficiencies are mind-boggling - I was publicly screamed at by the CEO onsite at an event and it was never dealt with because there is no HR If you want to develop, be inspired, work smart and advance your career - I would not recommend applying here. **Many of these Glassdoor reviews were written by the CEO and forcibly posted by current employees. The tone is the same throughout (the CEO's) and the 'CONS' are not real cons, they are respectable requirement at most companies; attention to detail, being organized and driven. They have been twisted it to make it seem like the employees that have negative things to say about Mirren on Glassdoor, didn't embody those attributes and couldn't keep up (didn't pay attention to detail, weren't organized or driven). This was clearly done to balance out all of the negative reviews.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am sorry to see how disappointed you are. This was shared with our team, so everyone could understand how you feel. It’s important we learn from this perspective as we work hard to be a great place to work. You make a fair point about some of our inefficiencies. In particular, we’re working to reduce the number of meetings. As a smaller company of eighteen people, we don’t always have the resources of a much larger organization. I appreciate your feedback on this. We are proud of the tenure of our team though. Almost half have been with us for more than five years, some more than nine years, and new people joining to accommodate our growth. And finally, to provide the full context, it was agreed fairly early on that it wasn’t an ideal fit. There were some issues that included project follow through, working cooperatively with others, and a complaint from one of our largest event sponsors. Even with this, we provided an extended period of work to cover the transition while you were actively job hunting. Most importantly though, it wasn’t a good fit. And for that I am sorry. I wish you the best in your next role. With appreciation, Brent Hodgins Managing Director

Pros

Conferences, workshops, forums – there’s a lot going on. Real strategy behind everything, which helps with learning and growing. I work with experienced people who bring fresh ideas to the table. Managers are open to constructive feedback.

Cons

Making sure events run without a glitch is tough.

Pros

The office looks so casual and relaxed but that’s not what it’s like in reality.

Cons

There were a number of reasons causing employees frustration and one of them was how management’s treating us. They’re unfair and sees only our failures and mistakes when we have more successes and things done exceptionally great!
