Be prepared to work long shifts and doubles, usually understaffed, without a break. Don’t ever expect a manager to compliment, recognize or reward you for any extra efforts you make. Don’t make any personal plans, you get your schedule one or two days prior to the next week. Forget about vacations or requested time off, you’re probably not going to get it. Then expect to lose your vacation time for not using it. Expect poor communication from arrogant and self absorbed managers at all times. Expect an unresponsive HR Director if you have any concerns. Consider yourself warned.
