Pros

The company has an unlimited vacation policy and what seems to be a fun, young and innovative culture from the outside. People in technical roles like engineering or product development seem to like the company's culture and operations.

Cons

I worked in the Finance group and the reality is that Miovision talks a big talk but doesn't deliver on a good culture, at least to certain departments within the company. Most people within the finance group are extremely overworked and very undervalued. I wasn't able to take more then a couple days off during my entire time there which was 8-9 months. I was working upwards of 70 hour weeks regularly with little to no support and guidance from management. There is too much work to be covered by too few people and an ignorant management team. It's not a coincidence that the turnover in the finance group is incredibly high. The company tends to applaud and compensate people that don't actually do anything and the hardest working are left to suffer. The company also fired probably at least 10 people during the time I worked there (and the company is less than 140 people to begin with) and in general just gives off a very ruthless culture. I would definitely not recommend Miovision as a good place to work, at least to finance professionals.

Pros

- Additional day off for most holidays - Remote work - Flexible PTO with an encouragement to take a minimum

Cons

- Terrible onboarding and training experience. A better initial training program is needed vs watching a bunch of high level self paced videos - The opportunity for growth is low, rarely are there openings in the organization. I didn’t even know who my HRBP was after the initial left when I was hired to even discuss growth opportunities - The Talent Acquisition Manager reached out months after hired asking for feedback, but did nothing with it - Tenured employees fail to provide the new employees the guidance needed to be successful i.e. mentorship programs - Company lacks a lot of internal processes making the customer experience poor, and constant internal confusion. Reactive vs Proactive - Leadership asks for feedback, but doesn’t take action - Constant change of department direction making it tough to establish focus - Departments operate in silo making cross collaboration very poor - Many departments short staffed and overwhelmed, which presents many gaps. Yet they won’t open the headcount - Was over-promised on bonus % by Talent Acquisition Manager at time of interview, and in reality it was by far one of the worst bonus structures I’d ever seen - Constant turnover of employees from executive leadership down - Lack of documentation, things live in people’s heads instead of a document - Tendency to rollout a new product without fully vetting causing a poor customer experience - Confluence is a nightmare to navigate when in need for internal information - Medical insurance options could be better - I’m really not sure why their rating is so high, when in reality the employee morale appears rather low
