Too many hats - Customer Service Representative Minuteman Press Employee Review

Pros

A stable and consistent 9-5, varied workdays, and a peaceful, quiet work environment.

Cons

The workdays are varied because Customer Service Representatives have several different responsibilities, so you'll be wearing a lot of hats. Also, the management will want you to be ready to go in two weeks or less. They will not train you very much, given how much there is to learn it's not very realistic. I was the FOURTH person they trained as a customer service rep. If you can learn and adapt QUICKLY then you could definitely apply.

Pros

Work environment is fun and friendly

Cons

Job was not for a professional. With over 12 years of experience the owners would try to tell me “How to design” instead of helping helping with customers. They will expect you to create amazing work, answer the phone, answer emails, and assist walk in customers all while designing in a 8hr shift for $17/hr There is no OT pay and you are not allowed to take work home even if it’s free. The title should be labeled admin assistant with some graphic design skills.
