Pros

Chinese food Lunches once a month for birthdays You get a paycheck

Cons

Everyone has to clock in and out. If you want to get a cup of coffee, tea or clean up you have to do it off the clock. You can only take breaks between 10 and 3. You must clock out before putting food in microwave or going to the lunch room. Employees who fail to follow those rules are subject to discipline. Only 6 paid holidays a year. No PTO till after a year, then you get 1 week No benefits till you have been there 90 days No FMLA I felt micromanaged I felt overworked

Ming's Mark Response

Hi there, Thank you for your review! We're constantly trying our best to improve and your review is an important part of the process. I'm so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the requirements of having to clock in and out for the day, however, I think this is standard of every workplace to keep track of hours worked for employees, so they can get paid, but we certainly don't ask you to clock out if you were going to get a cup of coffee or tea. In addition, we are a medium-sized company and we do ask that our employees take breaks at certain times of the day to ensure that phones get answered and packages are shipped out on time. Our company is a family style culture, so every employee is treated as if they are a part of a family. We have employees who have been working here for more than 3 years, so I’m sorry if you felt that you were treated differently. We appreciate the time you spent working with us! Best of luck, Marilyn L. General Manager Ming's Mark Inc.

Pros

Family style culture - owners care and try to give as much as they can as far as benefits - Medical insurance is covered 70%, 401K contributions are matched at the max level, Dental is covered 90%. 1 week paid vacation and 401K benefits after 1 year Sick paid time that accrues starting on the first day Medical and Dental insurance after 90 days Employee discounts on products - you get to buy the company's products at a very generous discount Full kitchen set up as a lunch room, their marketing team are always testing products, so sometimes there is cooked food to eat. Paid 10 minute breaks Monthly birthday lunches - birthday employees get a small gift Flexible with attendance - management and owners know that life happens, so you're not scrutinized when you miss a day or come in late unless it becomes a bad habit and you're calling out once every week or so. Opportunity to learn new skills or develop your skill set - the company is medium sized and growing meaning there's opportunity for growth within the company.

Cons

Holidays are super busy, so there is mandatory overtime if you're backed up on work No shaded parking
