Pros
Opportunity! Heather has great contacts in the industry and will give you the opportunity to work directly with clients, journalists and analysts. I was able to work with everyone from marketing managers to C-level executives. I lead meetings and had a larger impact than I would have had at another agency. I always felt extremely supported by my managers and colleagues, providing a great learning environment. I continue to have great relationships with all of them. I had a great work-life balance, and the PTO policy was very generous. We had regular happy hours so we had an opportunity to bond outside of work conversations. For me, a great indication of management is the relationship with employees after they leave. Heather has continued to be very supportive and I have a great relationship with her. I know I can ask her advice whenever I need to going forward.
Cons
I am not sure this is necessarily a con but Mindshare PR is a place that works best for those who are serious about a career in PR. All levels of employees are constantly interacting with external stakeholders, so there is an expectation of a certain level of professionalism and sincerity. If that does not sound like you, then this company may not be the best fit.
