Pros

Great community. Lots of growth opportunities. Fun product to work on. Diverse teams.

Cons

Executive communication is not always clear. Got acquired and lost the community feeling. No 401k match.

Pros

Mindtouch has had its back up against the wall over the years but they've always managed to find a way to come out on top and I believe it's because they foster a highly collaborative environment. The folks there are hardworking, open-minded, and creative to finding new solutions. I greatly enjoyed my time working here. Also Aaron Rice LOVES it when you start in on him for his accent.

Cons

During my time we were still trying to figure out our sweet spot in the market, kind of stumbled our way through deals to get the job done (the job gets done but there needs to be better process and one that's able to be duplicated successfully)

Pros

This is not a place if you like predictability and keeping to yourself. After years in a bureaucracy, I switched to working at MIndTouch and it was everything I had hoped. Management is supportive, encouraging, and creative. They also trust in their team and allow for much creative initiative and input. It's a job for real grownups who have ironed out their family issues before they walk in the door -- that is, do not come here expecting your hand to be held. You will need to be the type who jumps in and begins contributing positive work and energy from the first day. If you do so, and you treat people with respect, I think you will like it here. The people here are friendly and smart, and truly like each other -- very refreshing. They are growing, so things are a little crowded and chaotic for the time being, but it's more exciting than disconcerting.

Cons

Benefits. Lack of 401K matching and childcare savings accounts gave me pause after having those benefits for so many years. Those things matter to a more experienced work demographic and it will not help when recruiting women and people over 30. The demographic is very young and single which can contribute to a little bit of immaturity in group interactions and choices of group activities, but nothing terrible. An HR officer would be a good addition to smooth things out as the office is getting too big for the C-Suite to manage many operational, staffing, and cultural details.
