Pros

Good computer experience Discount on product Stepping stone job to better career in the computer industry

Cons

- Pay is horrid, don't expect evaluations or raises unless you threaten to quit. - Overtime is often not paid accordingly, hours will be rolled over to the next week if possible to avoid overtime. - The Air conditioning and heat work but unless you make enough money for the company for the day, don't expect them to be turned on. - Employees are never "fired" just permanently laid off to avoid paying unemployment. - Management lacks professionalism - Job Tasks include mowing the lawn, picking up garbage and other mundane work that isn't mentioned at an interview. - Corners are frequently cut affecting the pay and quality of work. - As stated before the owner shouldn't be involved in the day to day, completely out of touch with the industry and generally has ideas that last for a couple weeks then fall off or ditched. - Rules are in place but often only enforced on specific people versus the staff as a whole. - Everything revolves around money, the owner has a lavish house he has to maintain and if your branch needs a pay or product quality cut to save money, it will. - For those reading this if you are applying to be an Intern don't expect pay, but expect to work the normal job, and hours like everyone else. You won't learn anything they are just getting free work from you....

Pros

I learned a lot while at my internship at Milwaukee PC. Unfortunately I couldn't set the correct date I was hired on however the owner taught me a lot about working with computers, tickets, etc.

Cons

None that I can think of

Pros

The people that work there are knowledgeable about PCs. My co-workers would help if I asked for it with something. They were also willing to pick up the slack if someone was gone for the day and they knew about it. Freedom to do as you think is the best for the situation.

Cons

The pay is horrendous. I'm somehow classified as part-time, even though I've received overtime a few times already. My job goes WAY beyond my job description. Half my co-workers don't do anything unless they're asked, and they try to pass of their job onto others. There is also a complete lack of communication. If you've never done anything before, or don't have a pass to get into a particular area of their POS, don't expect a kind response. Training is all done by hands-on learning without anyone else being present. The owner is one of my most onerous people I've ever had the displeasure of working with.
