Forget about going home. You will be a lonely person and although there are a lot of good mariners working at MSC, everyone is in the same boat (pun intended) and no one cares that you never go home. You will lose your family but make mad cash, so in the end, you lose. The office staff is like something out of a sketch comedy show. There is something called the Civmar Support Center that you can call if you want to see your tax dollars light up in flames. The people there are uselessly belligerent.
