I had one of the least professional HR interviews I have experienced.
Throughout the process, I felt that the discussion focused heavily on my military reserve duty obligations rather than on my skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. While I cannot know the official reason for the rejection, I left the interview with the impression that my reserve service was viewed negatively.
The interview itself felt unstructured and uncomfortable, and I did not feel that I was given a fair opportunity to present my background or technical experience.
I fully understand that companies have business needs and staffing requirements, but candidates who perform military reserve duty should be evaluated primarily on their abilities and professional fit for the position.
