Cons
Young and inexperienced people put into leadership roles without much support or guidance from direct departmental management. Constant turn over, due to nature of seasonal tourism town, leads to frequent gaps in knowledge as new people are training new people, low wages for front line staff also affects retention, little ongoing coaching or training in place to help people develop and feel confident in their roles, leading to an ongoing feeling that you are constantly treading water. General lack of accountability from seasonal staff so all minor issues are constantly escalated to senior management which takes a toll and leads to frequent burnout.
