Pros
Middesk is a rare gem of a company where you feel seen, supported, and empowered from the start. The interview process alone made me feel like a valued future teammate. They took the time to call out my strengths and clearly articulated why they were excited to bring me on board. That energy didn't stop once I joined. From day one, I’ve felt like an important part of the team. The environment is highly collaborative and low ego. People are genuinely curious, willing to help, and invested in building something great together. My manager is incredibly empathetic and supportive. I’ve never had a manager who checks in not just on my work, but on how I’m doing as a person. Feedback is thoughtful and constructive, and there’s a real focus on growth and trust.
Cons
Very few, especially for a startup. The main one is the lack of a clear promotion path. Without it, valuable employees have, and will continue to leave. Some internal processes could also be better defined or streamlined as the team scales, but that’s fairly typical of a growing company.
