Pros
The shop that I worked in was a very fast paced work environment so there was always something to do. Also all of the guys in the shop were very nice and a pleasure to work with. I learned a lot from the full time techs that i had not learned in school. They were always willing to teach me if I was willing to help them on their jobs.
Cons
The management who bought a group of the stores, including the one i worked at, were very pushy. they began to mandate a certain level of numbers that we had to make which made our service writers extremely stressed. in the short time that i was there I saw three new shop managers. they were all fired due to poor numbers but in reality the numbers were fine. They just were not what they desired. Between the three managers who i worked for, they had worked at that shop for a combined 54 years and they were thrown out by guys who had just entered the business. it is hard for customers to find a shop that they trust and that does not try to rip them off. Unfortunately, the Midas location I worked for began to focus on pushing anything and everything that could be written up regardless if they really needed to be replaced.
