Pros
The 401k match is fantastic.
Cons
Corporate and HR (the NY office) throttle how well we can work. There is no work from home unless you’re a manager, despite nearly every role in the admin side being something that could easily be done remotely. They could free up some room for more production floor if they allowed wfh, but they’d rather spend $60k+ on middle managers to look over our shoulders. Preventative measures to improve are non-existent. When change does occur, it’s because a customer got their order done wrong. Benefits get worse and worse as the years progress. Between that and lack of any sort of training or upward mobility in the company, we struggle to both bring in new blood and keep the existing talent. As such, they tend to hold onto employees that clearly struggle with the basics of their roles, coddling them while they drag down those who are actually good at what they do.
