Pros

The Boise facility is nice and the company provides many quality of life perks. To be fair, I joined during the pandemic and many of those perks were in the process of being rolled back when I was laid off. Boise is a nice town.

Cons

Management is all over the place. Will demand performance for routine tasks but then not support efforts to improve the efficiency of those tasks, instead blaming you for lack of individual effort. Much of the work is proprietary and requires hours of communication with people who may or may not know what they're actually talking about as there is no focus on internal documentation. This is not a tech company, they are a manufacturer. Keep that in mind when pursuing a career here. Severely underpays vs the market.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
