Pros

The purchase of Elpida was brilliant, and they are good at new technology (although frequently lagging competitors). Compensation is good. Opportunities for advancement are good, as is compensation, and tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Health insurance for specialists is limited to very few providers, and in come cases, no local provider. Over the several years, Micron seems to care less and less about their employees. Top management appears to have hired business consultants and have launched crazy internal programs. Environment is too rushed to have a good culture. Internal feedback does not seem to be considered to a great degree. Break room perks are minimal.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
