Pros

Not as risky as a startup, so the company will be around for a good few years to come. Benefits are OK, but nothing spectacular.

Cons

Not an exciting place to be. Because of its size, Micron does move slowly. The only sudden changes are the unfortunate layoffs, which seem to come out of the blue when management panics on some news. Badging is required both on the way in and on the way out, making it feel like a soft prison. Management can check the in/out times, and although I haven't heard of anyone having been disciplined because of too few hours worked, people have been reminded to check the hours. People who are not paid by the hour.

Pros

Strong organizational growth – The company is continuously expanding, which creates exciting opportunities for career development and new challenges. Attractive RSU compensation – With the recent significant rise in stock price, the RSU (Restricted Stock Unit) package has become a highly rewarding part of the overall compensation.

Cons

Organizational silos – Each team or department tends to operate in its own silo, which can limit cross-functional collaboration and visibility into what other groups are working on. Overly strict internal security policies – While data security is important, the current policies can be excessively restrictive, making it difficult to share documents and resources even among colleagues working toward the same goals. This can slow down productivity and hinder efficient collaboration.
