Pros

Cost of living in the area

Cons

The company is driven to maximize the efficiency, yet it is very difficult to get anything done. The management is setting up people for constant resource and priority conflicts. The goal is clear to replace the individual contributor workforce every few years with the fresh and easier “manageable” people. Coming to Boise, make sure to plan your way out in few years as Micron is pretty much the only work option here. Managing-out practice is widely used across the company to either work people to the mental burnout or drive them out of the company.

Pros

Strong organizational growth – The company is continuously expanding, which creates exciting opportunities for career development and new challenges. Attractive RSU compensation – With the recent significant rise in stock price, the RSU (Restricted Stock Unit) package has become a highly rewarding part of the overall compensation.

Cons

Organizational silos – Each team or department tends to operate in its own silo, which can limit cross-functional collaboration and visibility into what other groups are working on. Overly strict internal security policies – While data security is important, the current policies can be excessively restrictive, making it difficult to share documents and resources even among colleagues working toward the same goals. This can slow down productivity and hinder efficient collaboration.
