Pros
As a previous reviewer said, working solo at a satellite location allowed me to become more of a self-starter. Despite the fact that I was doing work I was not truly being paid for, being allowed to do work on the marketing team gave me something to write about on my resume. I met a lot of great members, hopefully people I will have as contacts for years to come.
Cons
Basically everything. Exceptionally disorganized and under staffed. The CEO is a micro-manager that also takes a hands off approach. Doesn't seem to go together, right? I know. He is also a misogynist and shows no respect for his employees. Vague and deceitful hiring practices. You are asked to do tasks far beyond the pay you are receiving, and the maintenance staff is asked to perform tasks that they are not certified to perform. They do not take your suggestions seriously, and clearly have no desire to improve the conditions for their employees and their members. I was required to sign for many legal documents that I was very uncomfortable receiving, and the CEO is the very definition of a "slumlord." CEO continues to expand despite the fact that he does not pay his bills. No one has any idea what is going on here because it's all so convoluted and disorganized. Endless stress, misogyny, and confusion. Do not bother with this company unless you enjoy being under-compensated, denied all benefits, disrespected, ignored, and frustrated constantly. Approach this with caution.
