Pros

I would stay away from this company. Join if you enjoy sales and little to no accountability.

Cons

There is a lot of turn around at MicroK12 and management has little interest in employee well being. There is no onboarding and vital business operations are poorly thought out. Structural inefficiencies lead to poor execution of planned strategies. Pay is as low as they can get away with. Do not expect bonuses or performance reviews. As this is a family run business, you will be sidelined or fired if a family member is hired. Do not work here for anything other then experience and move on as soon as possible. Company culture is toxic and employees are routinely yelled at or chastised. Management is notorious for bickering and talking behind each other’s backs. Reprisals are common. Partners are not respected and there is no room to grow. Management will make promises but incentives for performance are few and far between. It’s essential a sales company. Other departments are neglected. Employee suggestions are routinely ignored and goal setting is not a practice MicroK12 participates in. IT security is a joke. Expect to be over worked and under payed.

Pros

I have been treated very well by this company. They have been flexible with me and my needs. In recent years they have increased compensation, benefits and time off. They have strong values and treat employees and customers well.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at this time.

No clear communication; inconsistent and misleading Lack of support from management Lack of training Lack of guidance No job description No employee handbook No clarity on expectations Treats employees like children and shows distrust toward them Inconsistent about remote work Insultingly low pay for the industry Manager's trash talk about each other to employees Clearly values sales over any other department No way to move up in the company; you're stuck where you are
