      Pros

      Puppy/kitten cuddles, [mostly] cool coworkers, health/dental insurance is alright.

      Cons

      Bad pay, management (both local and at corporate HQ) are often focused on the wrong issues (and some are just bad at their jobs yet no one seems to notice), severe allergy triggers, long hours, always short staffed, tons of emotional stress.

      Pros

      Very fulfilling work. Certainly has you feeling as if you've made a difference in the community.

      Cons

      Zero communication between management levels. You will not be notified of anything in advance, expect to have the rug pulled from under you every day with zero communication about day to day operations.
