Pros

The location The only redeeming aspect of my experience at Michael Page was the favorable location of the office.

Cons

I had the displeasure of working at Michael Page, and I must say it was an incredibly stressful and unrewarding experience. The company's work culture completely clashed with the Quebecois mindset, and the overall atmosphere was far from conducive to a healthy work-life balance. Firstly, the working hours were simply unreasonable. We were expected to finish late into the evening and start early in the morning, leaving little time for personal commitments and proper rest. This constant demand for long hours and lack of consideration for employees' well-being is unacceptable and unsustainable. Moreover, the management at Michael Page heavily indulged in micromanagement. This practice stifled creativity, undermined autonomy, and fostered a sense of distrust among the team. Instead of empowering employees and fostering a collaborative environment, the managers seemed more interested in exerting control and nitpicking every minor detail. One of the most frustrating aspects of my time at Michael Page was the abysmally low salary. Despite the demanding workload and long hours, the compensation provided was far below industry standards. It was disheartening to see my hard work go unrecognized and uncompensated, which only added to the overall dissatisfaction and demotivation. In summary, I strongly advise avoiding Michael Page as an employer. The stress levels, lack of reward, incompatible working hours, micromanagement, and low salary make it an unsuitable workplace for professionals seeking a healthy work environment and fair compensation. I recommend exploring other companies that prioritize employee well-being, promote a collaborative work culture, and offer competitive compensation packages. Remember, your time and skills are valuable, and it is crucial to choose an employer who appreciates and respects them.

Pros

Great place to grow your career—there’s a clear path to advance and strong professional development. The culture is very team-oriented, with people who support and push each other to succeed. High energy in the office makes it an engaging environment to be in every day. Great leadership that’s supportive and invested in your success.

Cons

Commission can be challenging to earn early on due to ramp-up targets, but this is offset by a strong base salary. As you gain experience and consistently perform, the opportunity to earn commission increases significantly.
