Pros

It’s hard to come up with anything because what seemed like pros when I joined the company ended up being cons.

Cons

Horrible management from the top down. I was lied to by practically everyone in management. They say they have a “family atmosphere” but that’s because they work you so long and hard that you won’t see your actual family (Average 15 hr work days). Countless errors by the payroll dept. No concern about their employees safety. Zero safety equipment provided even though we handle dangerous chemicals on a daily basis. Only concerned about their bottom dollar and they take advantage of people who don’t know any better. They promised a CRM system for years but never delivered. Unrealistic demands. They charge you an inflated “cost of goods” for the products you sell. If you want all the stress and cost of running your own business but none of the pay, work for these guys. They will take every penny out of your paycheck that they can.

As the Director of Employee Relations, I am sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience with us. However, I do not feel your experience is reflective of the 'norm' in our organization and want to address some of your concerns: 1) While there can be some long days that come up (as there are with most sales jobs), our sales reps and account managers who are effectively working their territory based on how they are trained do not average 15 hour work days. 2) Employee safety is our top priority. We provide all new hires with eye wash, safety vest and safety glasses. We also have required training for our employees on spill containment, PPE, HAZCOM, GHS, as well as defensive driving. While there are Hazmat items we ship, this is not something that reps handle on a daily basis. Training, PPE and SDS are provided for safe handling of these items when it does come up. 3) As for the CRM, I will admit that is something we need to improve upon and apologize we do not currently have a system in place. I understand that can cause frustrations for some. We are actively working to find the right system for our company. We have looked in to and piloted 2 different systems over the past year or so and still have not found the right fit that provides the information we need but is still user friendly for our sales force. This is still a work in progress. 4) Regarding your statement on wanting "all of the stress of running your own business but none of the pay...", the average compensation for our sales reps is $140k annually - which is above the industry average. I do not feel this is a fair or accurate claim as our sales force is compensated very well and with our average tenure of employees being 8-9 years, this shows that our employees stay with our company long term. While no company is perfect, we do strive to provide a safe and positive work environment, family culture and competitive wage for our employees. We appreciate your candor and wish you the best in your future endeavors. Hailey Dunham Director of Employee Relations
